    Is this one of those radio station holiday things? Cage the Elephant and Death Cab will also be at one here in Seattle. I wish Airborne was going to mine. I already absolutely love half the lineup this year.

    I'm going! Then I saw that Blink announced they were headlining Night 2 but I don't know if I can swing both nights. I'd much rather see TATE over Blink, though. It looks like Night 1 is more the "alternative" night and Night 2 is more the "punk" night.

    Any idea if this is likely to be streamed? TATE & Noel Gallagher on the same day?!?

    I know KROQ streams it's Christmas concert, so maybe 91x will too, but that's just speculation at this point. Anyone else going besides me and cowboysnaliens?

    Awesome, Kelley! At this point I'm going solo, but there's a chance a co-worker is going (has never seen TATE, initially was going because of other acts) and maybe I'll carpool with him, but for sure we'll meet up! Who is going with you?

    Sounds good! I'm bringing Joanne (of course!), Tina and Shirley. You met the last two at the Del Mar show. We are looking forward to a fun night! What time are you planning to head down?

    Kelley, I'm not sure when I'll be heading that way. What time is the show supposed to start? Wish I had an idea when TATE is playing, although I guess I'll have to get there early no matter what since I've got GA and want to be sure I've got a spot down in front! Do you guys have GA or seats?

    Dreamcatcher, for sure!

    And I still can't find set times but it looks like TATE will probably be the second band on the bill. That's okay, it'll make it easier to get barricade!

    Set times according to 91X website:

    Doors 6 p.m.
    The Naked & Famous 6:20-6:50
    The Airborne Toxic Event 6:55 -7:25
    Cage the Elephant 7:30-8:00
    Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 8:05-8:50
    Death Cab for Cutie 8:55 - 9:55
    Florence and the Machine 10:00- 11:00

    So, I'm good after 7:25. Everything after that is just icing. Can't wait!

    Cage the Elephant is really really good live! I was indifferent to them prior to seeing them live, but once I did, wow! I would have went to their show last night if I didn't go to see TATE.

    I went to the show tonight. I almost cried though ): I pretty much missed them, and though I liked every single band in the lineup, TATE was the only reason I actually bought tickets and wanted to go. I didn't care to see anyone else perform. Due to traffic, not leaving Los Angeles quite soon enough to beat the traffic (left at 3 pm thinking we'd make it in time, didn't park until 6:35), and the (what I and many people in line felt was) unprofessional and inefficient work of Staff Pro, I didn't get inside until sometime around 7 or 7:30. When my group and I got to the door, I heard a TATE song playing (I think Changing? It was hard to hear, but I'm sure that's what it was) and my jaw just dropped. We walked up the steps to Numb, and my friend had to go to the bathroom so I hung out in the hall next to the terrace to listen to Sometime Around Midnight. We did manage to catch most of All At Once, and my GOD, they are AMAZING live. I really wish I'd gotten to see them...I was so crushed...and to make it worse, when I ran outside to grab some merch when the lines died down a bit, I was informed that they had already taken off and therefore taken their stuff with them ): I (gratefully) settled on a Death Cab for Cutie shirt, but I really wish I'd gotten to see TATE for more than a couple minutes or bought something of theirs (I buy stuff at every concert, and if there's more than one performer, I buy the merch of the person/group I went to see). All the other bands were great though (: I just feel kinda bad that I was stuck in traffic for 3 1/2 hours to go see them and had to make the 2 hour (without traffic) drive home afterwards, and I didn't really get to see them. I feel almost heartbroken. I was so set on seeing them..

    *sigh* Maybe next time...):

    I'm so sorry you missed most of their set. That sounds horrible :(, one of my worst fears when heading out to a show!

    I heard 91x really fucked things up with the queue and all. A bunch of my friends were waiting all morning for rail, then they let another line in ahead of them. A line that had just formed! Ugh. The station just posted that they'll try and work on entry procedure today. Too little, too late in my opinion.

    SweetMidnyteKiss,

    I share your pain. I, too, purchased tickets and drove down from L.A. mainly to see TATE. My friend and I arrived at 6 but spent 15 minutes just trying to figure out which line to get in. After standing outside in the cold for an hour, we finally got to our seats only to catch the last half of Midnight and All At Once. I was hoping to buy a shirt also, but none were to be found. So disappointed!

    I really hope the band and their management read our posts and realize how Valley View Center's ridiculous method of crowd control totally ruined what should have been a fantastic evening for their devoted fans.

    I hope you get to see a full TATE show soon...

    @JessicaSarahS and chimpanchee:

    Thanks, we hope so too. My boyfriend and our friends said that the next time TATE plays nearby, we're all going again, and I'm definitely hoping to grab a shirt then (my usual concert memorabilia). My boyfriend and hers aren't huge fans, but we are, so they're gonna make sure to scrounge up some money and (earlier) transportation next time.

    I personally do not blame the venue for anything but choosing a bad company (Staff Pro) to run the lines and everything. There were 6-8 sets of double doors per entrance, and only one open at each with one person checking women's bags, one person patting down men (badly I might add - my boyfriend said he got patted down with stuff in his pockets and they just told him to move along. What if he'd brought a weapon inside [not that he would have, mind you]?), and one person doing tickets. I heard people were still coming in when Death Cab and Florence went on (but I'm not positive) :o I mostly blame Staff Pro and not VVC (although my boyfriend has complained to both Staff Pro and VVC about the situation) because apparently this isn't the only time where Staff Pro has screwed concert goers. I (did the typical thing and) complained on Facebook about it while we were standing in line still, and a friend of mine said that Staff Pro is terrible, and only 'pro' at giving concert goers attitude - his girlfriend and some of her friends attended a concert last year somewhere in (Los Angeles? Pomona? No idea, just somewhere closer to us than SD), and they only bought tickets to see one of the first acts, A Day to Remember. They were there nearly an hour early, and due to Staff Pro's inefficiency with line control, they missed ADTR's set and ended up just kinda hanging out in the hallway for the remainder of the concert, not wanting to completely waste the $30 or so they spent, and when they complained, they got the same types of responses as we and the people around us did :/ The man that my group (and three-four others in front of us) were pissed at said that "it's not our problem people wait until the last thirty minutes of a show to show up and line up" (because it's not like anyone had to drive three hours and spend most of their day in traffic to show up for the show -.-;), and when asked, he refused to give his name or employee number, and he and another member refused to give the name of any supervisors, just saying "I'm not a supervisor." Well, that's just dandy, we weren't asking if you were -.-;;

    I wish I had extra cash laying around...I'd just go show up at one of their Hawaii shows :X Hawaii in winter? Why the heck not? :3 But alas, I shall just wait until they come back around my way. I hope that if any of you guys are gonna be able to make any of their next shows that you all have a great time (and hopefully don't have to deal with Staff Pro's unprofessional staff :P)
