    Hi!

I'm a new member but I've been listening to TATE for a while.

First heard of them through a Starbucks free download of Sometime Around Midnight 2 years ago (thank you Starbucks for doing something right :p)

Took me a while to hear all their other songs but I am officially obsessed now. My favourite is All I Ever Wanted, concert hall version.

Live in California and can't wait to see them live. Unfortunately most of their local shows this summer are big ones with other acts I don't care about, so I'd really like to wait for one of the smaller ones. Maybe Del Mar.

Howdy! We actually already have a thread for introducing yourself, though I'm not sure you need it now! :D

August will be a good month for shows at Del Mar! Weezer is playing on the 6th (which I will probably go see), Jimmy Eat World will play on the 12th, Devo will play on the 19th, and Airborne will play on the 26th (which I will most likely attend). Carpool anyone?

I'm so jealous of you California people.
Seattle has some cool things though. Like...rain...

And the Space Needle! And coffee!

Anyone been to races at Del Mar? I wonder if I may as well go to the race and show since I've never been to either. Might be a fun first-time experience. Would you get better seats or anything if you attend the races?

I've been to the track. Unless you like to gamble or know/learn how to bet on the ponies the track isn't all that great. To tell you the honest truth race tracks depress me. There are a lot of sad faces walking around because so many people make stupid bets.

If you're planning on going to this show then I suggest showing up before the last race so you only pay $6 for admission as opposed to $20 after the last race. (If you show up after the last race they charge you "concert price"). Getting in and out of the Del Mar Racetrack is a pain in the ass because there is only one freeway exit leading to that immediate area. I went last year to see Weezer and traffic was backed up for miles. It was over an hour wait time to exit the freeway to the track! After about 15 minutes of sitting in traffic I realized I wasn't going to make it before the final race so I just drove a few exits away and backtracked to Del Mar Racetrack on surface streets. I barely made it in time! I literally got to the entrance gate seconds before the final race ended and upped the price to $20.

So what I'm trying to say is: GET THERE EARLY!!!

I'll be leaving from work in Laguna Hills. Hoping I can get off early that day. What time is the last race?
