Edit: okay, so I guess it's the Billboard 200 now, didn't notice that in my excitement to post it but I can't rename the thread.
I think my count is 3 right now (not counting the iTunes pre-order, which is on the ipod and gets blasted inside the house), and so my husband and I keep one copy in each car, and then the 3rd we've left unsealed and are giving away as a birthday gift to his brother. The album DOES make a great gift!
My count is only 2. Unless the Vinyl counts as one. Oh, plus I bought a copy for my sister at the record store. So 3-4.
I'm counting the vinyl. I've bought it 3 times so far, deluxe through the site, the vinyl collection, and the regular album for the Fingerprints in-store thing.
But isn't anyone excited about top 15? :)

But, YES, we are very excited about the top 15!! Fingers crossed! Seriously, standing in line at the El Rey, my husband kept commenting on how crazy it is that Airborne isn't the BIGGEST thing since, I don't know, U2 or something. Secretly he says he's glad they're not on that grand of a scale yet--more intimacy with their fans now--but he and I just don't get why they aren't bigger than they are. Why can't they be No. 1?! ;)
Variety's top 10 prediction sounds pretty good to me. Reuters estimate of 15,000 copies sold sounds low. Haven't we board members bought at least that many ourselves? I personally have two deluxe copies.
And is it strange that I've never even heard of Adele, who has apparently been #1 for six weeks?
I am british, and trust me, Adele is amazing. When is the billboard announced? What day? So I know when too look. I'm hoping they can get a decent place on the UK Top 40. Compared to what does get on their, they deserve it so much as they are 100000x's better then most on their!

Guys, just heard back from Pete (I sent him the links to the articles this morning, too) and he's thrilled. He wanted me to let you guys know how important this first week of records sales actually is for the band. If they can crack the top 15, or better, the top 10, then the label will spend more money on marketing, which means more singles, more videos, more tour dates.
So, I know everyone here has bought the album, but anyway you can help get the word out to friends, or share links on Facebook, or retweet Twitter links, mention them in your blogs, or just whatever it is you can to get the word out about the new album. I believe we have through Sunday to sell as many copies as we can.

P.S. UK Top 40 is done tomorrow too. Seems to be predicted in the top 30 at the moment.
I think it will pass top 15. If we're lucky it will squeak by the top 10 mark.

I bought All at once on iTunes and I hope it'll pass the Top ten.

Just to update... it didn't make the top 40 in the UK :-( it was number 34 on Wednesday but has slipped. Can't even seem to find where it actually is. Gutted.

Oh, thanks for that. Maybe now next week they'll shoot to number 1!

on itunes, they were about #15, 17 right now. on bilboard rock songs, 'changing' is still at 25 :)

Greetings, true believers. I'm out to lunch so I'm surfing on my phone, which sucks when the pages insist on doing mobile formats, but apparently Explosions in the Sky is the highest debut this week "edging out The Airborne Toxic Event and Emmylou Harris" at 16 on the Billboard 200. So, apparently no top 15 but it seems like top 20 is probable. Not the best of news, but we don't love them any less, and it's not the worst of news, either. Just wish I had the proper numbers. I'll find them later.
<edit> Okay, their newsletter says they were 17th. Incredible. Especially considering this is only their second album. If only I had bought another 6000 copies, they would have been 8th!
top 20 is amazing! expecially when you take out things like the royal wedding soundtrack or glee or lemonade mouth or stuff like that, theyre high up there.
You're right, it is amazing. I think I had my heart set on them being the number 1 debut album and the top 15, if not for the sake of the band, then for the sake of the musical soul of the nation.

That's fantastic. The album was still in the "New & Noteworthy" section on the iTunes store music homepage yesterday, which I thought was pretty cool, too. Did anyone see how they did in the UK?

Wow. TATE and Explosions in the top 20? That is exciting! The new Explosions is amazing, it's almost a shame I can remove TATE from my player long enough to give it the play it deserves...almost.
What if they got on VH1 a couple times? Then their base would expand, definitely. I mean, seriously, everyone in the world I've ever talked to watches that channel. Mark my words, they will make it on the Top 20 countdown if I have to go down myself and scream at Jim Shearer.
Well, on the Billboard 200 All At Once is down to 97 on the chart, but it's #11 on the alternative album chart and #24 on the rock albums chart. That means something, right?
