I was blessed to be at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on Nov. 15. I was struck with the extraordinary caliber of this band, nearly perfect all the way through, all the way down.
In the first intance seeing Mikel sing I thought...this man is the quintisental lead singer for a rock band with his aloof attitude and too cool to speak clearly persona and at first, I was ashamed, how could I have thought so highly of Mikel, throughout the past few years...
As I watched and as I listened, I found myself marveling at the shear brilliance and beauty of his soul, his words, a small glimpse of truth in what otherwise would have eluded me...at that moment I was overcome with this feeling of; who is more out of place? Myself or this divinely created band of proletariats.
