Soledad likes her Gospel. None of this garage band trash, which is a politacally incorrect description of The Airborne Toxic Event. They practiced in warehouses and living rooms. Soledad needs to get her facts right.

Some people just don't like guitar music... I don't like dance music (in general, there are a couple of exceptions) - I'm sure people who do like it would have something to say about that.
I've not watched the video so don't know her exact words, but all I can say is that variety is the spice of life :-)

Of course we're all fans so anyone who says TATE sucks is going to get our ire up, but look at it this way: the more people who see the post and don't know TATE will probably look them up, and I'm betting more of them will realize how great they are, so all publicity is good publicity in my book. :)
Couldn't be bothered. I don't know anything about Soledad O'Brien, and I'm just happy that Airborne is getting this sort of incidental airtime. That a CNN talking head doesn't like that song is more of a plus in my book than a minus. She doesn't have to be a fan.

You're absolutely right! I just didn't like the way she said that she didn't like the song. Why does she even need to give her opinion on it? And then she didn't even know the title. But it's acutally not really important after all.
Clearly she is uniformed!!! Really, how many "garage" bands perform with a string quartet...or for that matter could perform IN a string quartet?!?!?!

I honestly have to say that that is one of the most gracious apologies I've heard in a long time. In a world where hardly anyone apologizes for anything -- the fact that she actually listened (listened!!!) to someone who disagreed with her and then followed up on it, challenging her own opinion ... just ... wow. And what a nice (deserving) tribute she made to the band. And, yeah, while it's not global warming or world peace, just some off-the-cuff remark about a band, so what? I mean, who DOES that anymore? So, "Well done and that'll do, Ms. O'Brien".
Wow! How cool! Soledad is a hard worker and a caring person. I thought that if she had a proper chance to listen to TATE and learn about them, she would like them. Pretty cool how she read White Noise and likes the book. Maybe TATE can play on Soledad's show some time.
