I arrived 15 minutes before the show. Parked in the last spot right at the street exit, walked directly into the bowl, sat in center - great seats! I met Christina Lynne and her daughter, then show started. What a great venue for a concert! The band was awesome, although I thought Mikel's mike should have been louder. The strings came through great, love the Calder Quartet. The crowd was a little over the top in terms of interupting, I don't like shouting during the first minutes of Innocence, for example, or not letting Mikel speak. But he was gracious as usual and always smiling! Glad I made the trip from MN! That was one of the dumbest reviews I have ever read. The author should have spent more time talking about TATE's performance and less time bitching about the parking situation. Yes, the parking sucked but at least try to write something halfway clever. Oh, and not everyone attending the show was a "hipster" you jackass!
LAID, I think you're too sensitive! :P I didn't find the complaining about the parking or the wine or the hipsters that annoying. Very nice things were said about the band and the music with some nice pictures, so that's what I was concentrating on!
Although that's funny that we were all labeled as "hipsters" because I swear, TATE has a larger "older" following than any band I've listened to recently. :)
