1. Has anyone ever gone to one of these shows
2. have they announced any other acts
3. Orchastra seats bought on site will be in the pit or orchastra section
Any help with any of these question will be greatly appreciated

I attended the one last year. On the outside stage they'll have least three bands play and it'll be free. The gig inside the Amphitheatre requires a ticket. Though vendors and Thursday freebees stands might be free entrance. They were free last yr...maybe because they had a scavenger hunt. No other acts have been announced BUT REAL SOON. I Hist don't know about the Seats. I won my pair last year so I don't know how it works.
Hope this was helpful. If you have anymore questions just let me know:)
word around the campfire is that there are no pit seats/tickets. this is coming from a pretty legit source so i believe it. i'm starting to think that the pit area is going to be used form something else. i kinda remember reading somewhere (probably the Airborne emails) that there were going to be "surprises" at this show.
Do you think that this show will be an electric guitar show or acoustic?
I wanna take several friends to the show and as good as TATE are live they plainly are better when they plug in.
thanks to everyone for all the feedback
Just a bit excited since i missed Del Mar

I've never been to sit-down Airborne show... LA show will be little awkward for me :(
Anyone going to SF show on 21st AND LA show on 23rd? hehe..
ive heard "orchestra" mentioned, so maybe they will be using the pit for that?
I'm under good authority that there is no pit. Orchestra seating will be the closest seating. Like Evol said, I think (my opinion, no inside info) the pit area will be utilized in some manner.
I think the show might be half and half, as far as maybe the first half unplugged and then the second half will be plugged in. But again, just speculation there on my behalf.
Not posted for a while...this caught my eye...
"I wanna take several friends to the show and as good as TATE are live they plainly are better when they plug in."
Disagree. Some of their best live shows are played acoustic! just my opinion!
Opening acts have been announced:
Tokyo Police Club (I saw them a couple of times a couple of years ago) and
Delta Spirit (not familiar with them at all)
Discuss! :-)
Just got the email, and I'll discuss this... I'M JEALOUS! I love both those bands. Christina, check out Delta Spirit - you won't be disappointed. :-)
I haven't had a lot of exposure to the opening bands, but I will check them out before the show. I really love the Henry Clay People who opened for Airborne a few years ago, (and I'd never heard of them before) so I'm guessing I'll love at least one of the opening bands! I've got my orchestra tickets and am super hyped about the concert. 35 days and counting!! Can't wait!
The two opening bands sound great! I can't wait for the show; it is about a month away. :)
I'm not crazy about the opening acts (as seen on Youtube), so I'll probably be showing up around 9:30 or so. They're not terrible or anything, and I'd like to show some support... but since I work all day and have to drive 2 hrs to the venue, I'll rest up a little for TATE. :)
has anyone else noticed there are still a TON of seats available (I'm guessing almost half based on Ticketmaster seating availability)... Kinda surprised and disappointed. :(
as far as acoustic, I'd prefer not. a few songs OK, but this band is too good plugged in to play mostly acoustic, IMO.
Snowave, I saw yesterday that there are lots of seats still available for this show. I went on the LiveNation website hoping to find another ticket for a seat close to where I'll be sitting. Just about every seat in the lower orchestra level is taken so I was unable to actually find what I was looking for, but I did notice that the majority of the upper levels are still open. It looks like the show is only about 60% sold out. I'm a bit disappointed.
yeah, I'm also in orch seating, and it's good to see those all filled. However, I'm corraling friends and walking the streets to get more people to come. It's just a crying shame this band isn't playing all sold out shows. Granted, this venue is bigger than the club settings, but still...
Taking my HS sweetheart of 6 years. Hopefully she'll like the show and we can fix things.
