Does anyone know what they are singing between the stanzas of the original lyrics? The song is so beautiful, but I think ATE added some lyrics and this makes me want to know all the more what they are (ATE is always so poetic). I was of course able to find the original Muppets lyrics, but not the ATE version of the song transcribed. It could be that they are just singing Do-do-dos (melodic nonsense), but if they are actually saying something other than just the original song lyrics, has anyone been able to make it out?

    Thanks for any help!

Is this available on iTunes? I completely forgot it was out already. Checked Youtube to preview/listen to just the airborne song, but like I figured, it's not on there.

I bought the MP3 album from Amazon on Black Friday. It was like, $6.
So anyone see what I mean about the extra lyrics? Or maybe it's just pretty sounds...Like humming...?

There is some humming, but I think there are some indecipherable lyrics in there too. I'll have to get the mp3 first as there's some slight compression in the NPR link that might be making it a bit garbled for me.

Okay. So there's the first verse. Then 8 incoherent lines to which I've managed to decipher half of it:

    1.
    2. The sky is always blue
    3. And time is - ?
    4. ? - was you.
    5. Now hold me longer
    6.
    7. We'll stay in this moment
    8. No matter who - ?

Then the second verse and then

an incoherent line that repeats 3 times. Then:

    No matter who we are

The incoherent line repeats 3 more times and then

No matter who we are (repears 3 times)

mcflyfarm I believe the very first 2 lyrics are Lay me under a sky so blue... as I'm slowly listening to the middle incoherent lyrics before the ending part, I believe middle is in correlation to what ABTE sings in the beginning, as in, I wish I had a coat of silk the color of the sky = Lay me under a sky so blue... does that make sense? Hopefully that will help in y'alls search... :)

Ok sorry for the double post, if there's a admin here that can merge the post please do.... I think I've got most of the first "misheard" lyrics figured out.... Had to bust out 3 different pairs of headphones to get all the detail out of the song... For those that don't have a nice set of cans or just want to test my theory, open up your prefered music player, put your equlizer on "vocal boost" or something similar, and listen really good... Any audiophile will tell you, you'll never hear detail the best with speakers, get some good headphones and rock it... /rant... here's what I think I've got so far, yea yea, I know it doesn't make much sense but I don't think it was supposed to....

"Lay me under the skies of blue
And tell me young Thomas where two islands grew
Lay me under a sea that has no end
We'll save you tomorrow the lovers will be friends"

Actually I guess it was kinda close to McFlyFarm's post now that I'm looking at it....
