Woo! Anyway, I find it slightly ironic that Osama bin Laden was caught right when this album (which has major themes related to war) was released. I know this is irrelevant to the topic, but I just thought I'd mention it.
I kinda think you missed on the meaning of both "ironic" and "caught"
How so?
i'm picking up what Roclawzi is putting down. i'm not going to get into it because i don't want to start a political debate but i will say that i have very strong beliefs in regards to the "war on terror"
Oh yeah, I definitely don't want to get into politics here. And I'm definitely not trying to say this is the end of terrorism.
This album deals with war and death (and drone bombings in the Middle East). I never have and I never will believe that death should be punished by death, but I find a bit ironic that a man whose name goes hand in hand with anything related to terrorism died the same week this album was released.
Wow, this thread took a strange turn. Glad the site is back - on the other thing, no comment.
Lol, my bad.
Well for caught I am a bit off, because I was thinking in the context of "captured", but killing him certainly counts as caught. The irony would only count if they sang about him never getting caught. Though it does add something to the "we don't negotiate with the terrorists" line.
Your right, we shoot them in the face
No body = no proof
I thought we weren't talking politics? Will people get mad if I continue this conversation? D:
