I was there. I was fortunate enough to have been in the very front, right in front of Steven and Noah. Needless to say, as a huge fan of their music, I was thrilled to be so close. This is the second time I've seen them. The first was in June in Portland, where I was also lucky enough to be up front. I could tell from the beginning of the Drowning Men's set that the sound was "off." It seemed like all of the music was projecting behind us. And, it was very clear that Mikel and Anna were frustrated, as I saw both of them speak/signal to the sound guys multiple times. I don't remember seeing anything like that going on in Portland, therefore I clearly understood that the venue in Dallas was totally screwing them up. Not to mention the obvious failure of the microphones and the repeated trips to the stage by the sound guys. I DO NOT blame the band for this at all. I had no feelings of animosity or disappointment towards them, but only to the venue. We drove from OKC to see them and I would do it again. It is always a pleasure to see them live and to share those moments with them. I believe they just wanted to provide their fans with the best, but under those particular circumstances they were not able to do so. I only wish I would've stuck around for the impromptu acoustic set. Hope this helps.
