  1. One of the best covers ever is Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” by Social Distortion. Please cover Social Distortion’s “Ball & Chain”

  2. I have already suggested this song…but it was awhile ago :)

Harvest Moon by Neil Young or Kiss by Prince (it could be awesome).

Or you could just keep playing your own songs :)

  3. Social Distortion is a great idea! or how bout something from the pixies like wave of mutilation or gigantic

  4. Either Lou Reed – Vicious or Tom Petty – Free fallin’ but the pixies comment made me think of an airborne version of where is my mind!?

    Maggie May – ROd Stewart

She’s Like A Rainbow – The Rolling Stones

The Boxer – Simon and Garfunkel

    Fragile – Sting

  6. I was thinking Blackbird- The Beatles would be awesome
Saw someone suggested The Boxer which would be really cool too.

Whatever song it is great idea, even better band

  7. Just wanted to say that I LOVED that you added I’m On Fire to your playlist during the DC show last night.

  8. Anything by Alkaline Trio…maybe Blue in the Face!

See you guys (and gal) in Cleveland on Saturday…can’t wait!

  9. Have you guys picked your next cover yet?

    How about:
She talks to Angels by the Balck Crows
    or

  10. I’d love to hear you do “Love Cats” by the Cure :). Just saw you guys last night @ The Opera House in Toronto. Beyond Awesome!

  11. Wow. A few come to mind but I would love to hear “Nearly lost you” by the Screaming Trees, but as someone said earlier your music is so much better than most anything I can think of.

  14. I’d like to vote for Social Distortion, too. I think “Ball and Chain” would be a great one to cover. Also, “Love Vigilantes” by New Order would be awesome as well.

  15. I loved the crystal ballroom concert and from the war songs you did i got the idea that it would sound really awesome if you guys and girl did “funny the way it is” by Dave Matthews band. it would be the awesomest thing ever but there is no keys or violin in it so it would sound even better if you improvised…………

  16. How about something by The Velvet Underground? I’m Waiting for The Man, or What Goes On …

or how about The Zombies, She’s Not There

    These would really be cool.

  17. I really love when you cover classic, timeless songs like Johnny Cash or Springsteen. One song that has always given me goose bumps is

Bridge Over Troubled Water – Simon & Garfunkel.

  18. Great show in nyc last night…great version of this song too!, What about doing either dead flowers or live with me by the stones!!!
