More suggestions? By all means, keep them coming..
Kiss Off!! One of my favorites.
I tend to love songs where the song is very powerful, and the song has lots meaning behind the song.
Hurt the Johnny Cash version.
With or without you by U2.
I also love Duets
9 Crimes by Damien Rice.
I’m noticing your flipping off the camera a lot so how about
ROOTLESS TREE BY DAMIEN RICE.
also very powerful song.
THanks for you videos cant wait for your next.
How about covering a Dylan song? Any Dylan song!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !!! How about Mother by Pink Floyd? or what about Unsatisfied by The Replacements? yeah! or maybe a Pixies song – Hey or Where Is My Mind …arrggh there are so many can’t choose.
How about Weightless by Nada Surf
You should cover Creep or High and Dry by Radiohead! Either would sound amazing coming from this awesome band!
Would love to hear Kiss Off live. Or one of these:
Stooges – Gimme Danger
Bad Religion – Sorrow
Lou Reed – Perfect Day
Could you do a Muse cover? That would be amazing! =)
An amazing cover would be “Got Your Name On IT” by Carrie Rodriguez, or “Close To Me” by The Cure. Pretty much anything you guys do rocks though!
It’s funny how Daren’s drum is hidden behind Anna. It looks like he could just as easily be flipping burgers on that stove instead of tapping his snare. (Daren, I’ve never tasted your burgers, but I already know that your drumming is awesome!)
Johnny Cash – God’s Gonna Cut You Down
Amazing Cover of another Great song
How about a cover of Modern English – I Melt With You? I just finished watching All I Ever Wanted, which was awesome, and I can totally hear you all covering I Melt With You.
Have sung that song a thousand times myself and with friends…could see how much you enjoyed it. Was a treat to watch your talented group have a good time doing it.
How about wreckless Eric whole wide world ? I would love to hear your take on it! See you in Chicago – Melissa
This cover series is great – kudos to whoever’s idea it was.
Here’s a varied selection of songs that I really think you’d do well:
David Bowie – Queen Bitch
Franz Ferdinand – Ulysses
Interpol – Evil
The Jam – Going Underground
Leonard Cohen – Closing Time
Paul Simon – The Obvious Child
romeo and juliet dire straits!
How about “All My Little Words” by the Magnetic Fields?
AWESOME! how about the KInks…”this man he weeps tonight”?….would be killer!
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- Cyndi Lauper
it’d be a good cover: you guys both share dance vibes and i think its just a little out of the ordinary!
I’d like to see TATE cover Talking Heads. Psycho Killer, Burning Down the House, Swamp … take your pick.
Great show in Fort Collins guys!! Heard you got in some Bikram Yoga before the show. Please come back often!!
Amazing as always! I heard your cover of “Folsom Prison Blues” in concert over the summer, and I loved it. But, I think you guys should shake it up and do a cover on an artist that no one would even expect you to do. Something totally out of the blue.
How about Pixies, “Is she weird”?
You guys should cover a Muse song or cover Iris-the goo goo dolls that would be so awesome
Folsom Prison Blues, Johnny Cash
Home by Edwrd Sharpe And the Magnetic Zeros
New Slang by The Shins
I will follow you into the dark by Death Cab For Cutie
Somewhere over the rainbow
Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones
Everlong by Foo Fighters
Such Great Heights by Iron and Wine
Keep the great music coming guys!
I hope i get back from France in time to see you guys in San Diego. Its a long ass flight and then a 8 hour drive from where i live…
some ideas for covers:
The Cure- Just Like Heaven, Boys Don’t Cry, Love Song, or Close To Me
Led Zeppelin-Over The Hills And Far Away
The Rolling Stones-Gimme Shelter
The Smiths-How Soon Is Now?
I’d love to suggest Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah… would love to hear that with strings… It’s a breathtaking song. Loved Jeff Buckley’s version as well but think y’all would have a different take.
Hows bout “Wave of Mutilation” by the Pixies (the UK slow version).
Yes…it could be me – Beautiful as usual
“It’s Still Warm” by Dramarama. Covering this song would give Dramarama & John Easdale a well deserved nod as I think they are both underrated in the world of music. A TATE arrangement would sound great & I think the lyrics are in line with some themes already explored by the band. Cheers!
“Waiting Room” Fugazi
Love your covers… and all the music you make. I would also love to see a Muse cover – I’d suggest “Resistance.”
would love to hear covers of
goo goo dolls – iris
the national – about today
reckon you guys cud cover these songs and take em both as your own
I would love to hear either Oxford Comma or Diplomats Son both by Vampire Weekend
I agree with those who suggested something unexpected. I recently heard Todd Park-Mohr do a cover of LMFAO’S Sexy and I Know it on YouTube and it was so unexpected but I loved it. What about Micheal Jackson… smooth criminal or human nature?
You could cover the Oscar Mayer Wiener song and it would be great… A little weird maybe, but still great.
Whatever you choose I’ll be anxiously awaiting!
Second Hand News or Go Your Own Way…Fleetwood Mac!
Dire Straits- Romeo and Juliet
Fix You – Coldplay
House of the Rising Sun – The Animals
Everlong – Foo Fighters
Little Black Submarine – The Black Keys
Lost Together – Blue Rodeo
Use Somebody – Kings of Leon
Just Breathe – Pearl Jam
Someone I Used to Know – Gotye
How about DMB? I think “Say Goodbye” would be right up your alley!
This cover was great. I would love to see you guys do “I’ve Just Seen a Face” by the Beatles or “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon.
You guys need to come back to Philly. My friends and I agree that you guys put on one of the best shows.
Don’t Dream It’s Over by Crowded House
Ring of Fire
Come back to the mid-atlantic soon!
I echo the request for “With or WIthout You”. Second choice is “Bed of Roses” (you know you wanna do some Bon Jovi)
I would like to suggest you cover That Way by the Go-Betweens.
I think its time to cover Tim Cappello’s “I still believe”
How about some Robert Smith!!!
You guys did an excellent job on this! And I agree with an earlier commenter that I’d LOVE to see you guys play this live sometime (hint- I live in Boston!)…
I’ll add to the chorus of “With or Without You”– or “Where the Streets Have No Name”– some kind of vintage Joshua Tree goodness…
You guys are incredible! I love this song and I’m ecstatic to see you cover it, you did a badass job. I want to suggest Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis; that might be a silly idea, but I think you could make it really cool.
By Lou Reed
How about The Hounds of Love by Kate Bush?
its ok if you wanna marry me
I love you guys and this cover! My year would be made if you did a cover of “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. Thanks for the great music and I’m excited for whats next!
Take it back to the 60′s.
Love “My Little Red Book”
“Love” you guys. Keep’em coming.
