Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !!! How about Mother by Pink Floyd? or what about Unsatisfied by The Replacements? yeah! or maybe a Pixies song – Hey or Where Is My Mind …arrggh there are so many can’t choose.
It’s funny how Daren’s drum is hidden behind Anna. It looks like he could just as easily be flipping burgers on that stove instead of tapping his snare. (Daren, I’ve never tasted your burgers, but I already know that your drumming is awesome!)
How about a cover of Modern English – I Melt With You? I just finished watching All I Ever Wanted, which was awesome, and I can totally hear you all covering I Melt With You.
Have sung that song a thousand times myself and with friends…could see how much you enjoyed it. Was a treat to watch your talented group have a good time doing it.
This cover series is great – kudos to whoever’s idea it was.
Here’s a varied selection of songs that I really think you’d do well:
David Bowie – Queen Bitch
Franz Ferdinand – Ulysses
Interpol – Evil
The Jam – Going Underground
Leonard Cohen – Closing Time
Paul Simon – The Obvious Child
Amazing as always! I heard your cover of “Folsom Prison Blues” in concert over the summer, and I loved it. But, I think you guys should shake it up and do a cover on an artist that no one would even expect you to do. Something totally out of the blue.
Home by Edwrd Sharpe And the Magnetic Zeros
New Slang by The Shins
I will follow you into the dark by Death Cab For Cutie
Somewhere over the rainbow
Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones
Everlong by Foo Fighters
Such Great Heights by Iron and Wine
I hope i get back from France in time to see you guys in San Diego. Its a long ass flight and then a 8 hour drive from where i live…
some ideas for covers:
The Cure- Just Like Heaven, Boys Don’t Cry, Love Song, or Close To Me
Chuck Berry-Maybellene
Led Zeppelin-Over The Hills And Far Away
The Rolling Stones-Gimme Shelter
The Smiths-How Soon Is Now?
I’d love to suggest Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah… would love to hear that with strings… It’s a breathtaking song. Loved Jeff Buckley’s version as well but think y’all would have a different take.
“It’s Still Warm” by Dramarama. Covering this song would give Dramarama & John Easdale a well deserved nod as I think they are both underrated in the world of music. A TATE arrangement would sound great & I think the lyrics are in line with some themes already explored by the band. Cheers!
I agree with those who suggested something unexpected. I recently heard Todd Park-Mohr do a cover of LMFAO’S Sexy and I Know it on YouTube and it was so unexpected but I loved it. What about Micheal Jackson… smooth criminal or human nature?
You could cover the Oscar Mayer Wiener song and it would be great… A little weird maybe, but still great.
Whatever you choose I’ll be anxiously awaiting!
Fix You – Coldplay
House of the Rising Sun – The Animals
Everlong – Foo Fighters
Little Black Submarine – The Black Keys
Lost Together – Blue Rodeo
Use Somebody – Kings of Leon
Just Breathe – Pearl Jam
Someone I Used to Know – Gotye
You guys did an excellent job on this! And I agree with an earlier commenter that I’d LOVE to see you guys play this live sometime (hint- I live in Boston!)…
I’ll add to the chorus of “With or Without You”– or “Where the Streets Have No Name”– some kind of vintage Joshua Tree goodness…
You guys are incredible! I love this song and I’m ecstatic to see you cover it, you did a badass job. I want to suggest Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis; that might be a silly idea, but I think you could make it really cool.
I love you guys and this cover! My year would be made if you did a cover of “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. Thanks for the great music and I’m excited for whats next!

Hows bout “Wave of Mutilation” by the Pixies (the UK slow version).
Yes…it could be me – Beautiful as usual
“It’s Still Warm” by Dramarama. Covering this song would give Dramarama & John Easdale a well deserved nod as I think they are both underrated in the world of music. A TATE arrangement would sound great & I think the lyrics are in line with some themes already explored by the band. Cheers!

I echo the request for “With or WIthout You”. Second choice is “Bed of Roses” (you know you wanna do some Bon Jovi)
I would like to suggest you cover That Way by the Go-Betweens.
I think its time to cover Tim Cappello’s “I still believe”
How about some Robert Smith!!!
You guys did an excellent job on this! And I agree with an earlier commenter that I’d LOVE to see you guys play this live sometime (hint- I live in Boston!)…
